Gasohol Engine Performance with Various Ignition Timing

Experimental research has been conducted on the effect of ignition timings characteristics and performance gasohol engines such as power, torque, specific fuel consumption, thermal efficiency. The used in this is pure gasoline a mixture 50% bioethanol (BE50). results show that timing gives maximum occurs at top bottom dead points 9 degrees for 12 BE50 fuel. Furthermore, power obtained 6,500 rpm, an time BTDC generated 4.63 hp, while 3.38 hp which 6500 rpm. These indicate there increase 6.4%. Moreover, also optimal conditions, amount energy consumed engine speed 7000 rpm around 15705.78 kcal/hour, BE-50 it 12582.03 where reduction about 25.44 %. However, general, can be seen during ignition, saving consumption gasoline-BE50 mixture, same producing fairly large potential to alternative small engines.
